Support Our Church
Whatever is given here sustains the Liturgy, the building that houses it, and the members of this community who are in need.
Why Your Support Matters
What giving means in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church
Almsgiving
The Church places almsgiving beside prayer and fasting. Giving is an act of worship offered to God, not a subscription to an institution, and it is measured by what it costs the giver rather than by its amount.
The House of Prayer
A parish needs a roof, light, heat and the vessels of the Liturgy. What is given here keeps the doors of this church open, so that the Liturgy is served and the faithful of Pretoria have somewhere to stand.
Those in Need
Part of what the parish receives goes to members of the community in hardship — the newly arrived, the sick, the bereaved. Ask the church office if you or someone you know needs help.
Ways to Give
Give in Person
Come to a service and give directly to the church. This is the ordinary way, and no arrangement beforehand is needed.
Service times
- Please call to confirm current service times.
Bank Transfer
The parish banking details are given on request rather than published here. Call or email the church office and they will be sent to you.
Questions About Giving?
Speak to the church office. If you need a receipt for what you have given, ask and one will be prepared for you.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35
